Artist Statement :
My art began when I lost my daily life. While hospitalized with Nephrotic Syndrome, art became a tool to express both my pain and my hope. Art can capture and convey the beautiful depth of both the positive and negative aspects of people. My work not only reflects my own pain and hope, but also gives voice to the emotions of those victims of gentrification, whom I have spent time with for several years.
